ATLON, the agentic-AI travel planner by Ten06, has been awarded the GOLD Award at the Tourism Awards 2026 by Boussias, in the category "Innovative Use of Technology". The ceremony took place on April 28, 2026 in Athens.

The recognition celebrates ATLON as the first-place winner — an innovative concept that significantly enhances the performance and productivity of tourism enterprises across Greece and beyond.

Why ATLON won GOLD

ATLON is an agentic-AI proposal engine built specifically for tour operators, Destination Management Companies (DMCs), and incoming travel agencies. It plugs into existing inboxes, supplier connections and CRMs, then takes a raw client email and returns a polished, branded, day-by-day itinerary in minutes — not the four to six hours an experienced agent would normally spend assembling one by hand.

Unlike chatbots or generic AI assistants, ATLON works against real supplier integrations: hotel APIs, transfer providers, ferry operators and activity platforms. Pricing and availability are live, not invented. Every proposal goes through your team for review before it is sent — the AI does the assembly, the expert keeps the judgment.

The Tourism Awards 2026 jury recognised ATLON for three things in particular:

  • Real productivity gains. Operators using ATLON report 5–10× more proposals from the same headcount, with quote turnaround collapsing from days to minutes.
  • Live supplier integrations. Pricing, availability and inventory come from the actual systems travel businesses already work with — not from invented data.
  • Expert-in-the-loop design. The platform supports human judgment instead of replacing it. Every proposal is reviewed and signed off by your team before it leaves the door.

What this means for tour operators and DMCs

For incoming tour operators, DMCs, and specialised travel agencies that work with bespoke itineraries, the recognition is validation of a shift the industry is making in real time: experts spend their hours on the judgment calls that win bookings, not on the mechanical work of stitching itineraries together by hand.

The math is straightforward. A typical bespoke itinerary takes four to six hours to research, compile, and price by hand. A skilled inbound agent can produce maybe four or five quality proposals a day. With ATLON, the assembly drops to minutes and the expert reviews instead of building from scratch — which means the same team can comfortably handle 5–10× more enquiries during peak inbound season.

The downstream effects show up everywhere: response times collapse from days to under an hour, conversion improves because travellers receive proposals while they are still actively shopping, and operations stop firefighting because the platform validates supplier data before it ever reaches the customer.
